Our Bulk Crude Rapeseed Oil is supplied to meet the raw material requirements of oil refineries, industrial processors, wholesale distributors, and international commodity traders. Low-erucic-acid grades provide a practical base for the production of refined edible rapeseed oil and rapeseed-based oil blends, subject to appropriate processing and regulatory compliance.
Unlike refined rapeseed oil, crude rapeseed oil has not undergone a complete refining process. It retains characteristic seed notes, a yellow-to-brown color that may show greenish tones, and naturally occurring components such as phospholipids, free fatty acids, and pigments, including chlorophyll. Its appearance and composition may vary depending on seed variety, seed quality, extraction method, storage conditions, and whether preliminary degumming has been performed.
Low-erucic-acid rapeseed oil is characterized by a high proportion of monounsaturated fatty acids, primarily oleic acid, together with Omega-6 (linoleic acid), plant-based Omega-3 (ALA), and naturally occurring vitamin E. Conventional high-erucic-acid rapeseed oil has a different fatty acid profile and must not be treated as interchangeable with low-erucic-acid oil intended for edible applications.
Depending on incoming oil quality and the intended finished product, further processing may include degumming, neutralization or physical deacidification, bleaching, and deodorization. After appropriate refining and verification against applicable food standards, suitable low-erucic-acid oil can be used in cooking oils, frying formulations, margarines, mayonnaise, dressings, and other food products.
To accommodate different shipment volumes and destination requirements, bulk supply can be arranged through four transportation options:
- Bulk Vessel Shipment: Direct loading into suitable liquid-bulk tanker vessels for large-volume international maritime shipments.
- Bulk Rail Wagon Transport: Land-based transportation using suitable food-grade tank wagons for regional and cross-border distribution.
- Flexitank (Containerized): A food-grade flexitank installed inside a standard 20ft container for containerized liquid transport, subject to carrier approval and payload limits.
- IBC Containers (1,000L): Intermediate bulk containers suitable for smaller industrial deliveries, sampling-scale processing, and destinations without large bulk discharge facilities.
Quality assessment focuses on parameters relevant to refinery performance and intended use, including free fatty acids, moisture, insoluble impurities, peroxide value, phosphorus, chlorophyll, and erucic acid content. Agreed specifications and a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) provide the basis for shipment acceptance.
Our bulk crude rapeseed oil offers a flexible raw material solution for industrial refining and international vegetable oil supply chains.
